AWLSorry to be gone for so long! As they say...life got in the way. I am doing good....ankle okay though it stills swells (because I don't stay off of it) and job finally full-time!
I am on my copyright soapbox again. I didn't know that if you are not signed in and go to a page there's an offer from Snapfish to download or order prints of the pictures. I just don't like the way SpacesLive treats everything as if it is theirs.
Am I the only one who has copyright issues? More roses and a check inJust a quick check-in. I finally had time to do a little blog hopping! Good to read and see!
I am on break until the 27th. Doesn't seem I've gotten much done, but I did enjoy a great visit with my daughter and her partner.
I am still "into" yoga and loving it.

AWLThere are some people I have not been able to connect with since I've been back blogging. Bored Barb? Heidi? Lakota Clay? Chief Executive Drop Out? Shannon of Inside the Elephant's Trunk... can anyone tell me anything about these old friends? Always sooooooooo slowI have had a veryvery hard time getting my page like I want it. I don't remember spaces being so slow. Maybe it is just my computer. I am running every spyware and virus software I have just to check it out!
I have visited just a few of you, but I'm working my way through my list of friends.
So far this session is great - of course, I haven't started teaching yet.
 Seriously, I have been talking to students in the halls and they seem very well adjusted and happy. Nationalities are changing though. When I first began teaching ESL, I taught mostly Japanese, and then Turkish, and then Suadia Arabians, and now Indian.Usually I do not understand the culture well enough to be very good at teacing them at first. I had a particularly difficult time adjusting to my Indian students and they to me, but thankfully by the second session last semester we had made our peace. Now I have a very special bond with them. I am so accustomed to running a tight ship I guess you'd say. I can be very bossy. That isn't the way to handle many cultures. Maybe no cultures.

My ex-husband gave me my first "real" camera when I was 16. I have had a top of the line camera since then...except from the time mine was stolen (yes...at school) about a year ago and Christmas. Needless to say I am so happy and a little picture crazy right now. The camera is great. It has a scenery setting, or actually several. DMC-LS75).7.2 megapixel Me AgainThanks for noticing I'm back...Jim and Jane! Tomorrow is my first day back to school so it may be weekend before I can really catch up. I don't know how many lyrics there will be because I'm not in love and I'm not broken-hearted!! I got a really nice new camera for Christmas so I'll add one picture! Slipping in the backdoorThe prodigal daughter has returned. I need a break from students. I love them dearly but some of what I want to say I don't want to say it to them. If they find ther way over here, that's fine. I enjoy playing with my friends (students) on facebook and on MySpace, but I miss pure blogging. And I miss my firends. Some of you have made their way over to facebook, but some of you I still miss. If you are a new reader who has stumbled in by mistake or curiousity, I teach ESL at a university. I kept this blog veryvery active for at least 2 years..maybe maybe more.
I will be visiting old haunts hoping to find bloggers more faithful than I have been.
It's a little belated but
(Yes...it is one of my graphics) I have a "piece of writing" that I want to put here soon. Other SpacesI have spent a lot of time lately working on myspace....it's another "thing" like facebook or this space. I haven't gotten used to it yet, but the Terms of Use are fair. Mostly younger than me people are there, but at least I can put up anything - lyrics and graphics included with a clear understanding that they are mine and to copy them is an infringement of copyright. I like that. I'll keep you tuned.
